Hi there!
I’m Caitlyn Gilfoil, a full service event planner and certified Life Cycle Celebrant. My fascination with human ritual and the motivations behind human actions has existed for most of my life. As a child I fancied myself a proper “Harriet the Spy,” observing the actions of my family and neighbors, writing it all down in a little black composite journal. When I turned 18, I moved to Washington DC in order to expand my horizons and pursue a degree in Anthropology. Throughout my studies I became enthralled with life cycle events and their transformative nature.
It wasn’t until after graduation, while planning my own wedding, that I realized just how important this subject was to me. I came to understand that planning an event that everyone agrees on is not always easy. Choosing details can seem like a minefield, especially when there is a limited view of the way things are “supposed” to be. Suddenly however, everything changed. I stumbled across a Life-Cycle Celebrant in my own community, and after spending a few minutes on her webpage, I was immediately hooked. By working with her, I was able to tear away all the pressure of doing things according to set rules and see the beauty in creating a unique wedding experience. This journey ignited my passion for Celebrancy and event planning, which led me to a new and fulfilling career.
I actively work with my clients to create beautiful and unique Weddings, Parties, and Celebrations tailored specifically to their story and needs. I consider it a privilege to be involved in celebrating my clients milestones and dedicate my time and resources to bringing their vision to life. I also continue to conduct research into the way we talk and feel about major life events, striving to connect my clients to the rituals and traditions of their ancestry, while confirming their own identity.
I currently live in Orlando, Florida with my husband, Patrick, and my Aussiedoodle, Bennett. I love spending time with my family and friends, baking, interior design, and sharing my passion for life’s memorable moments on my Instagram and blog!
