What is a Life Cycle Celebrant?
A Life-Cycle Celebrant is a ceremony professional who has been trained in the history of ritual and ceremony across the globe. Celebrants are experts in ceremony creation and design and well versed in the art of public speaking. This knowledge allows us to create and perform personalized ceremonies that are as unique as our clients themselves.
What do Life Cycle Celebrants believe?
As a Life Cycle Celebrant, I believe in the power of ceremony! I believe that affirming life’s milestones through ceremony not only strengthens the bonds of both families and communities, but also deepens our connection to those who have come before us. By partaking in ceremony, I believe that we are signifying what it truly means to be human.
What sets a Celebrant ceremony apart?
In a Celebrant ceremony, the client’s story is at the center of the celebration. Every ceremony is co-created with the client, allowing their unique beliefs, values, personality and cultural traditions to shine through. Celebrants bring with them years of experience and expert training, and spend hours researching, writing, and editing every ceremony. Every client can rest assured that their ceremony will be truly unique and forever remembered by all in attendance.
What types of ceremonies do you perform?
I officiate all types of ceremonies, from weddings and funerals, to ceremonies that mark coming of age and milestone birthdays, to familial rites of passage like baby naming and mother blessings and everything in between. There is no limit to the way we can use ceremony to celebrate life’s memorable moments.
What can be included in a Celebrant ceremony?
The possibilities of what can be included in a Celebrant ceremony are endless! Together, we will brainstorm fun, inspiring, and innovative ways to mark your milestone. By using various rituals, music, and readings, we can share your story, highlight your personality, and pay tribute to your heritage in your own unique way. There really are no limits to what we can do.
Where do you perform ceremonies?
I am based in Salem, MA, but I am willing to travel all over the Greater Boston Area and beyond!
Are you legally able to marry couples?
Yes! In addition to being a Life Cycle Celebrant, I am also an Ordained Non-Denominational and Interfaith Minister through the Universal Brotherhood Movement. This allows me to legally officiate weddings as well as assist my clients in filling out all the necessary paperwork.
Do you perform same-sex weddings?
Absolutely! I proudly perform same-sex weddings and am committed to serving all people with respect and dignity.
How will we work together?
I start every consultation off with a no-obligation phone call followed by a face to face interview. Once you have decided that I am a good fit for your ceremony, I will provide you with a detailed questionnaire to help me learn your story and get a feel for your wants and needs. I’ll then spend hours researching, writing, and editing your ceremony script, before sending it out to get your approval. You always have final say over the ceremony script and there are no limits to your editing power. On the day of the event, I will arrive early in order to make sure everything is in its proper place for the ceremony and to gather the guests. I will then officiate your one-of-a-kind ceremony that will be remembered for years to come.
What are your fees?
Since every ceremony is crafted to be as unique as the client it honors, I do not have a set list of fees. I would love to meet with you, listen to your story, and learn about your individual needs. This will allow me to properly quote you a fee that reflects the hard work of transforming your vision into a one-of-a-kind ceremony that adds meaning and depth to the major milestones in your life.
